Poronga Joke - 2024
I was fortunate to co-found Poronga Joke in 1998 in Foz do Iguaçu. We lived on the road, playing weekly gigs across Southern Brazil and over the borders into Argentina and Paraguay. Back in 2002, long before social media and streaming, we recorded and self-distributed a physical CD album that built a dedicated regional following, largely driven by the song “Desenho.” After disbanding in 2007, our first reunion show in 2023 reignited the flame—prompting us to record updated versions of our signature tracks for a new generation.
